Roxie paints, carves stamps, embroiders, writes, creates collages, makes stickers and anything else she can come up with. She was born in Seattle, raised in Detroit and is now home in Tacoma.
As a child she was set on the path of creativity by Imagination Station and Bob Ross on PBS. She’s been independently exploring art ever since. Roxie’s pieces often feature adorable animals or forlorn women in the vibrant color palettes of children’s illustrations.
If she isn’t working with her own projects, she’s guiding others on theirs. Fridays at Voila Art Studio in Sumner teenagers can join her afterschool for a technique focused painting class. Adults can join her for paint and sip events or private paint parties as available.
Roxie is a story fiend that reads and binges shows at an alarming rate. She lives with her husband Chad near Point Defiance Park. When she isn’t at the zoo, you might catch her making art in the park, cafes or diners.
